Adopting Children from Russia
God's Families has been working in international adoptions in Russia since 1994, and works with its Russian accredited partner agency there in multiple regions. It continues to be a popular program for couples, single mothers, and families seeking younger and older children with European ethnicities.

CHILDREN AVAILABLE |
- Infants from 7 months, toddlers and children (maximum age is 16).
- Both boys and girls available.
- Biological sibling groups also available, typically ages 5 on up.
- Medical information provided to adoptive parents including testing for HIV, TB, Hepatitis, and general health information.

QUALIFICATIONS |
- Married couples
- Single women (unmarried or divorced)
- State criminal record in good standing
- Good health
- Reasonable income
- Ages 25 to 55
- Not more than 2 divorces per spouse

APPROXIMATE WAIT |
- approximately 6-9 months after dossier approval parents take child home
|
TRAVEL |
- All major European airlines have flights to Russia including Delta, KLM, British Airlines and Lufthansa (God's Families refers travel agencies upon request).
- Russian bilingual staff in country meets you at the airport and provides support throughout your stay, including coordination of all in-country housing, translators and transportation.

REQUIREMENTS |
- 2 trips
- Both parents must travel, approximately 1 week for trip 1
- approximately 14 days (+/-) for trip 2 including court hearing and once completed, family exits through US Embassy Moscow
- All documents translated into Russian by approved translators (God's Families arranges)
- All documents apostilled on at state level (God's Families always reviews and submits all documents for its adoptive families to all authorities requiring apostilles and approvals for at no extra cost)
- Post supervision required with SW, 4 visits over 3 years
